Software Developer - Core Data (Python/kdb+)

What you will do

• Understand investment research data requirements and deliver solutions with measurable business impact.
• Design, implement, test, optimize, and troubleshoot data pipelines and services using Python and q.
• Work with PostgreSQL, kdb+, and other database technologies.
• Analyze, onboard, and curate vendor datasets while developing expertise in third-party data.
• Support production systems and contribute to operational excellence during business hours.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and/or kdb+/q.
• Experience developing software in a Linux environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Curiosity and willingness to learn new technologies, tools, and frameworks.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of SQL and relational or time-series databases.
• Experience building and operating data-intensive applications.
• Experience working with and analyzing financial datasets.
