Associate Director/Senior Manager, IT General Controls (ITGC) SOX and Internal Controls

Location: Hybrid in London, United Kingdom

Salary: £105,000–£130,000 per year, plus equity and bonus

What you will do

• Lead the IT General Controls workstream of the SOX implementation programme.
• Define the scope of in-scope IT applications and maintain the ITGC workstream plan.
• Design and independently test controls across applications and systems.
• Provide practical remediation recommendations and support IT teams with control execution.
• Coordinate with management, external auditors, IT, Finance, and Audit stakeholders.
• Provide updates to senior governance bodies and support ISO and SOC 2 compliance activities.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience working on and leading SOX ITGC programmes.
• Strong knowledge of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, particularly General IT Controls.
• Experience in senior stakeholder communication across multiple departments.
• Strong written, verbal, presentation, and project management skills.
• Collaborative, flexible, hands-on approach with the ability to influence constructively.
• Willingness to travel internationally.

Nice to have

• Experience with IPO SOX readiness.
• Experience in IT risk management or IT Internal Audit.
• Big Four experience.
