Director, Threat News Monitoring & AI-Workflow Management

Location: Austin, Texas; hybrid work 2 days a week. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future employment-based visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end rapid-response workflow from threat signal detection and triage through drafting, editing, and publication within 24 hours.
• Design and continuously improve AI-driven workflows and tooling for triage, drafting assistance, editorial handoff, and measurement.
• Lead market intelligence managers and a data and automation lead responsible for analytics, listening tools, and workflow automation.
• Run continuous monitoring for emerging threats, breaking incidents, threat actor activity, competitor announcements, and industry developments.
• Own measurement of reach, influence, and downstream business indicators for threat research output.
• Represent the team in cross-functional incident coordination and drive service-level improvements.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, security communications, or a related discipline.
• 3+ years of people-management experience, including management of managers or senior individual contributors.
• Experience designing or scaling AI-assisted operational workflows in content, intelligence, or newsroom-style environments.
• Working knowledge of threat intelligence and threat research concepts, including TTPs, incidents, breaches, campaigns, vulnerabilities, and exploits.
• Proficiency with measurement, analytics, and social listening platforms, plus strong editorial judgment and news sense.
• Experience working across time zones, partnering with editorial teams, and meeting rapid publication SLAs; a bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience is required.
