Machine Learning Engineer II (Identity Security)

Location: Onsite in New York, NY, United States

Salary: $180,000–$220,000 per year, including base salary and new-hire equity package.

What you will do

• Own and drive foundational work for a machine learning system.
• Design, build, deploy, and improve ML models for document and image processing and fraud detection.
• Develop scalable data pipelines covering data collection, preprocessing, transformation, and feature engineering.
• Partner with product stakeholders to define requirements, innovate, and solve complex problems.
• Make architectural decisions and drive continuous improvement across technology and processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience building, operating, and scaling ML models for consumer applications.
• Experience building end-to-end ML systems and complex data pipelines.
• Expertise in feature engineering, model development, deployment, evaluation, and monitoring.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience collaborating with and mentoring less experienced team members.
• Ability to work autonomously, handle ambiguity, and continuously learn.
