Mechanical Simulation Engineer (Automotive)

What you will do

• Clarify technical issues and simulation objectives with engineering stakeholders.
• Develop simulation plans covering boundary conditions, methods, tools, and parameters.
• Create mechanical simulation cases with review sessions and traceability.
• Execute CAE analyses covering functional, durability, strength, thermal, noise, and vibration requirements.
• Evaluate and interpret CAE results, provide recommendations, and prepare reports according to test plans.
• Contribute to new products, analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques while collaborating with other engineers.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent education.
• Previous experience in mechanical simulation, with theoretical knowledge of the Finite Element Method, strength of materials, and fatigue of mechanisms.
• Proficiency in Abaqus and Altair or Siemens tools such as HyperMesh and OptiStruct.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills within MS Office.
• Knowledge of production processes, mechanical systems, and product development phases and milestones.
• Advanced English level required, along with analytical, mathematical, methodical, problem-solving, presentation, and attention-to-detail skills.

Nice to have

• APQP and FMEA knowledge.
• Programming skills, preferably Python.
• Knowledge of instrumentation and data acquisition systems for pressure, temperature, force, and acceleration.
• Additional product development knowledge.
