Application Security Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Conduct manual and automated security assessments of web and mobile applications.
• Identify, evaluate, and report vulnerabilities with recommended remediation strategies.
• Perform penetration testing and design security controls for application confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
• Collaborate with development and cross-functional teams on secure architecture, coding practices, and incident response.
• Ensure applications align with relevant security standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Manage application security tools for continuous monitoring and deliver security training to development teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Application Security Specialist or in a similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of application security principles, common vulnerabilities, testing methodologies, and secure coding practices.
• Strong understanding of web application architecture and cloud-based environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work remotely from Nigeria.

Nice to have

• OSCP, CEH, LPT, GPEN, CISSP, or equivalent certification.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements related to application security.
