TL;DR
Data Scientist – Defence, UK (Machine Learning/AI): Designing, implementing, and supporting AI-driven capabilities within the SitaWare defence ecosystem with an accent on machine learning, data preprocessing, feature engineering, and customer-focused deployment. Focus on integrating agentic workflows, generating operational insights for senior decision-makers, and delivering data and AI solutions during customer activities and military exercises.
Location: Farnborough, Hampshire, UK, with approximately 30% domestic and international travel to customer and company activities.

is a Danish software company developing solutions for defence, healthcare, and utilities, including the SitaWare military operations platform.
What you will do
- Design, implement, and support AI-driven solutions within the SitaWare ecosystem.
- Integrate AI services and agentic workflows to automate data processing and analysis.
- Engage customers and stakeholders to capture AI requirements and drive adoption.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers and Intelligence Domain Advisors during experimentation, operational activities, and military exercises.
- Train customers on data and AI tools for effective operational use.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Approximately 2 years of experience as a Data Scientist in the software or IT industry.
- Experience developing and implementing machine learning models, including data preprocessing and feature engineering.
- Programming skills in data science languages, tools, and frameworks, supported by solid computer science knowledge.
- Fluent English and a UK driving licence.
- Right to live and work in the UK and eligibility for security checks; UK SC clearance is required at minimum, with DV preferred.

- Experience working directly with external customers.
- Knowledge of or experience in the defence or military domain.
