AI Research Engineer (Inference)

Location: London, United Kingdom, or New York, United States

Salary: $250,000–$300,000 base salary per year, plus discretionary performance-based bonuses and benefits.

What you will do

• Improve large-scale inference systems for foundation models for markets.
• Develop and optimize GPU kernels using technologies such as CUDA, Triton, Pallas, and CuTe DSL.
• Work with specialized inference devices, including off-the-shelf and in-house ASICs and FPGAs.
• Improve data streaming and inference infrastructure across globally deployed systems.
• Co-design models with researchers and help shape the AI research agenda.
• Optimize multiple model types and deployment strategies for demanding trading applications.

Requirements

• Strong engineering skills in GPU kernel development, lower-level PyTorch, JAX or XLA development, CUDA Graphs, FPGA, or ASIC systems.
• At least two years of professional experience building deep learning systems in any application domain.
• Ability to translate methods between different areas of application.
• LLM experience is valuable but not required.
• Finance experience is not required.
