General Ledger Accountant

hirify.global is building a localized battery supply chain through battery recovery, reuse, recycling, energy storage, and domestic production of battery materials.

What you will do

• Support month-end close by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with financial statement preparation.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure account balances remain accurate.
• Prepare financial reports and analysis, including variance analysis and trend identification.
• Process intercompany transactions and reconcile balances to resolve discrepancies.
• Support internal controls over the general ledger process and identify efficiency improvements.
• Provide documentation for internal and external audits and collaborate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Financial Planning & Analysis.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills with attention to detail.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to continuous learning and professional development.

Nice to have

• Previous accounting or finance internship or co-op experience.
• Passion for sustainability and environmental impact.
