Senior Fullstack Engineer (React/Node.js)

Location: On-site in Amman, Jordan; candidates must be based in Egypt or Jordan and have the legal right to work there.

What you will do

• Own internal tools from product idea and architecture through implementation, deployment, maintenance, and production operations.
• Translate operational and business problems into working software from rough briefs and incomplete specifications.
• Build frontend, backend, and data layers using React, TypeScript, Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, and SQL.
• Deploy and operate services on cloud infrastructure, including GCP services such as Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, and Secret Manager.
• Integrate internal and external systems such as hirify.global Pay, Salesforce, Wathq, and Metabase through APIs and webhooks.
• Improve development workflows, review pull requests, mentor contributors, and maintain monitoring, incident response, and cybersecurity practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional full-stack engineering experience with production systems that have been shipped and supported.
• Strong command of JavaScript and TypeScript across the stack, including React on the frontend and Node.js/Express or similar on the backend.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational databases, especially PostgreSQL.
• Daily production experience with AI coding agents and the ability to understand and manage their failure modes.
• Experience delivering complete products without detailed requirements, and owning cloud infrastructure, secrets, and production services.
• Strong written and verbal English communication and legal right to work in Egypt or Jordan are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, and Secret Manager.
• Familiarity with PostgREST, row-level security, and database-level authorization.
• Experience with Salesforce, Wathq, Nafath, payment platforms, or Saudi-specific APIs.
• Background in SaaS, fintech, or operations-heavy companies.
• Arabic language skills, open-source contributions, or public technical writing.
