Senior Full-Stack Web Developer (Geospatial)

hirify.global's Orbitworks business develops satellite manufacturing and Earth Observation capabilities in the United Arab Emirates.

What you will do

• Lead development of the Solutions software stack with the Principal Solution Architect.
• Define and implement scalable frontend and backend architectures for customer-facing applications.
• Build interactive web applications and backend APIs for order management, mission tasking, geospatial data access, analytics, and downstream services.
• Develop the CNC2 platform and Datalake services for cataloguing, storage, streaming, and AI applications.
• Design systems that process large volumes of geospatial and temporal data with high responsiveness and reliability.
• Implement containerized deployments, CI/CD, monitoring, deployment automation, and platform optimization in collaboration with infrastructure and mission teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering and full-stack web development experience.
• Strong experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node, React, FastAPI, Python, and scalable software architectures and APIs.
• Knowledge of computer architecture, performance optimization, data flows, storage systems, networking, memory management, and latency.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Agile development, databases, and PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
• Familiarity with GIS and geospatial technologies including Mapbox/MapLibre, OpenLayers, QGIS, GDAL, STAC, and OGC standards.
• Fluent English and strong communication skills required; ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Experience in Earth Observation, Remote Sensing, GeoINT, or geospatial intelligence applications.
• Experience applying AI/ML to computer vision, geographic data, or remote sensing datasets.
• Experience building real-time interactive visualization platforms.
• Familiarity with WebGL2, WebAssembly, DuckDB, Parquet, Tailwind, Vite, Vue, or Svelte.
• Experience leading or mentoring software engineering teams and willingness to travel internationally.
