R&D Data Scientist (Automotive)

What you will do

• Analyse vehicle telemetry, driving data, and unstructured sources to identify driving patterns and behaviours.
• Build interpretable features and multidimensional driver profiles using telemetry, surveys, customer personas, and behavioural indicators.
• Review academic and technical literature and test applicable approaches through proof-of-concepts on complex datasets.
• Compare and validate clustering, dimensionality reduction, factor analysis, and supervised and unsupervised modelling methods.
• Assess robustness, reliability, and limitations while collaborating with engineers.
• Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in data science or a related field.
• Strong Python skills for analysis, modelling, and prototyping.
• Solid foundations in statistics, machine learning, AI, feature engineering, dimensionality reduction, and model validation.
• Ability to design experiments, critically assess technical material, and work with complex and ambiguous datasets.
• Ability to interpret data in its physical and behavioural context and communicate assumptions, limitations, and conclusions.
• Fluent English and the ability to work independently.
