Senior Translational Scientist (AI/Biotech)

What you will do

• Analyze clinical, histopathological, and spatial transcriptomics data to investigate tumor biology.
• Discover biomarkers predictive of treatment response or resistance and translate mechanistic insights into clinical hypotheses.
• Bridge traditional biology and clinical practice with AI foundation models to support patient outcome prediction and personalized treatment.
• Guide model development, interpretability, and the design of features relevant to clinical outcomes.
• Collaborate with AI researchers, computational biologists, and the Clinical Data Manager to connect data with translational discoveries.
• Stay current with oncology, immunology, biological modalities, and clinical decision-making advances.

Requirements

• Advanced clinical or scientific degree, such as a PhD, PharmD, or MD, in cancer biology, molecular biology, genomics, oncology, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in cancer biology, tumor evolution, the immune microenvironment, therapeutic mechanisms, and response or resistance biology.
• Solid understanding of clinical trials and oncology drug development.
• Experience analyzing biological samples to identify biomarkers and support targeted, personalized treatments.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across AI research, computational biology, and clinical disciplines.

Nice to have

• Expertise in colorectal cancer or non-small cell lung cancer.
• At least one year of experience in a clinical, medical, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology environment.
• Lead-author publications in cancer biology or oncology in high-impact journals.
• Experience with H&E, bulk RNA-seq, spatial transcriptomics, spatial proteomics, single-cell RNA-seq, or high-content and pooled perturbation screens.
• Experience with Python and reproducible workflows for complex longitudinal clinical datasets, plus knowledge of drug-discovery modalities and clinical-trial regulation.
