Market Abuse Associate

What you will do

• Operate the firm's UK market abuse framework and perform daily trade surveillance using automated surveillance tools.
• Review alerts, investigate potential market manipulation and improper activity, and identify and escalate risks or discrepancies.
• Document investigation findings and outcomes, including internal escalations and follow-up reviews.
• Draft Suspicious Transaction and Order Reports (STORs) for submission to regulators such as the FCA.
• Maintain market abuse policies and management information, respond to regulatory enquiries, and support technical enhancement projects.

Requirements

• Working understanding of the market abuse framework and FCA regulatory requirements.
• Good knowledge of financial products, particularly equities.
• Strong IT skills, especially Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Degree in finance, statistics, data analysis, or a related field.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work under pressure and adapt.

Nice to have

• Python and/or SQL skills.
• Background in data science or data analytics.
