Humana Technology Internship – Summer 2027

Location: On-site at hirify.global’s headquarters in Louisville, KY, United States; full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from May 24, 2027, through August 13, 2027.

Salary: $37,440–$96,800 per year for full-time employment at the time of posting.

What you will do

• Contribute to technical projects across software engineering, cloud engineering, data science, analytics, UI/UX, machine learning, and cybersecurity.
• Support healthcare technology initiatives for insurance operations, clinical services, military communities, and member and provider experiences.
• Build or improve digital tools, mobile applications, APIs, data pipelines, dashboards, and self-service experiences.
• Contribute to AI initiatives, including natural language processing, conversational AI, model development, and AI-driven insights.
• Support cybersecurity, threat detection, vulnerability management, identity security, data protection, risk and compliance, and secure cloud architecture.
• Collaborate with experienced technologists, leaders, mentors, and assigned technical teams on projects aligned with business and technology priorities.

Requirements

• Must be available for the full 12-week, on-site internship in Louisville, KY, from May 24, 2027, through August 13, 2027.
• Must not require U.S. work visa sponsorship now or in the future; OPT, CPT, and J-1 support are not provided.
• Current full-time undergraduate or graduate student pursuing Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Analytics, Cybersecurity, or a related quantitative degree.
• Expected graduation date between December 2027 and Summer 2028.
• Successful completion of the CodeVue technical assessment covering programming fundamentals, problem-solving, and role-relevant technical skills.
• Strong communication skills, intellectual curiosity, adaptability, and flexibility.

Nice to have

• Experience with C++, Java, HTML, SQL, C#, Python, JavaScript, CSS, cloud technologies, web or mobile development, API development, AI applications, Agile, Scrum, project management, data science, Power BI, or Salesforce.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Coursework in programming, data structures, algorithms, machine learning, or related technical foundations.
• Campus or community involvement and an interest in healthcare.
