Senior Machine Learning Operations Engineer (AI)

Location: Flexible hybrid model. In-person interviews may be required for positions based in the Boston and Dublin offices.

Salary: $144,000–$181,000 USD annual base salary / OTE.

What you will do

• Enhance and maintain the cloud-hosted machine learning platform.
• Write production-quality training jobs and inference APIs for Python ML models, deploying them as scalable services.
• Build and maintain APIs, data pipelines, in-house tools, and libraries for integrating predictive intelligence into products.
• Use AWS SageMaker, GitHub Actions, Docker, and related technologies to improve the ML platform.
• Design and integrate multimodal AI and agentic AI systems into production workflows.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineering partners on scalable, robust systems and own parts of the data science engineering infrastructure.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience writing and debugging Python code.
• Experience with Git, unit testing, object-oriented design, and containerization.
• Understanding of the machine learning lifecycle, including training, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring.
• Familiarity with scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch, NumPy, and pandas.
• Experience deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting AI and ML models in AWS or another public cloud.
• Knowledge of SQL, cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, and production AI/ML systems including tabular, image, language, and agentic models.
