Regional Director of Financial Operations Audit

What you will do

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the regional Financial Operations Audit team.
• Drive assigned audits and process or control testing through completion.
• Review draft and final audit reports and communicate results to business stakeholders.
• Improve audit approaches and methodologies while maintaining compliance with The Institute of Internal Auditors’ standards.
• Recruit, supervise, and develop audit staff through interviews, performance reviews, quality observations, and individualized development plans.
• Support profit centers and business leaders with audit-related guidance and approve team expense reports.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; a master’s degree or MBA is preferred.
• At least 5 years of public accounting or auditing experience, preferably with Big Four firms and SEC clients.
• CPA eligibility with active pursuit of the CPA credential or an existing CPA license.
• Prior supervisory experience, strong analytical ability, and effective written and oral communication skills.
• Active pursuit of CIA, CFE, or relevant insurance designations.
• Acceptable motor vehicle record and ability to maintain any required minimum insurance coverage.
