Senior Financial Operations Audit Analyst

Location: Hybrid schedule based in Maitland, Florida, USA; minimal travel required

What you will do

• Plan and execute financial, operational, and compliance audits, including fieldwork, testing, documentation, issue validation, and reporting.
• Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, including SOX/ICFR where applicable.
• Apply data analytics and automation to population analysis, exception testing, trend analysis, and repeatable or continuous audit procedures.
• Use Power BI, Excel, Excel/Power Query, and AI-assisted tools such as Copilot to analyze data and improve audit workflows.
• Partner with stakeholders to understand processes, data sources, and risks, and communicate audit objectives and results.
• Track remediation, mentor junior teammates, and enhance audit methodologies, templates, and analytics capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• At least 3 years of experience in internal audit, public accounting, or a related assurance role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial and process evaluations.
• Proficiency with Excel and at least one analytics or reporting tool such as Power BI or Excel/Power Query.
• Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, organization, attention to detail, and prioritization skills.
• Willingness to pursue technical education and insurance designations; CPA or CIA is preferred or may be actively pursued.

Nice to have

• Experience with ERP systems such as Workday or GRC platforms such as Archer.
• Experience with audit automation, continuous auditing, continuous monitoring, or data analytics for audit and financial analysis.
• Experience using Microsoft Copilot or similar AI-assisted tools in Excel, Power BI, and Microsoft 365.
