Staff Accountant (Entry-Level Opportunity)

Location: Minneapolis, MN, USA; hybrid work schedule

Salary: $24–$28 per hour

What you will do

• Review payable reports and identify payments ready for processing.
• Research and resolve discrepancies, including missing carrier statements.
• Prepare final payable reports, supporting documentation, journal entries, and monthly broker payments.
• Process customer returns and payment requests through checks, ACH, and wire transactions.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in company systems.
• Partner with internal teams to resolve transaction inquiries and support payment controls and compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of accounting and financial concepts.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and accuracy.

Nice to have

• Internship, co-op, campus leadership, or part-time work experience demonstrating professionalism and accountability.
• Exposure to accounting, finance, banking, insurance, or business operations.
