Financial Operations Audit Analyst (Data Analytics)

Location: Hybrid schedule based in Maitland, Florida, USA

What you will do

• Plan and execute financial, operational, and compliance audits, including fieldwork, testing, documentation, and issue validation.
• Evaluate internal control design and operating effectiveness, including SOX/ICFR controls where applicable.
• Draft audit observations, recommendations, and reports, and communicate objectives and results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Apply data analytics and automation for population analysis, exception testing, trend analysis, and continuous audit procedures using Power BI, Excel, Power Query, and AI-assisted tools.
• Track remediation and follow up on audit findings while managing multiple audits and special projects.
• Mentor junior team members and improve audit methodologies, templates, and analytics capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• At least 3 years of experience in internal audit, public accounting, or a related assurance role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls, with the ability to evaluate processes and document findings.
• Proficiency in Excel and at least one analytics or reporting tool such as Power BI or Excel/Power Query.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, collaboration, organization, prioritization, and attention to detail skills.
• Willingness and ability to travel minimally and pursue required technical education or insurance designations; CPA or CIA is preferred or may be in progress.

Nice to have

• Exposure to ERP systems such as Workday or GRC platforms such as Archer.
• Experience with audit automation, continuous auditing, continuous monitoring, or data analytics for audit and financial analysis.
• Experience using Microsoft Copilot or other AI-assisted tools for analysis, reporting, documentation, and workflow efficiency.
