Backend Engineer (Go & Python)

Overview

Join the Lifecycle team to own and modernize backend services, migrating from Go to Python while ensuring system reliability and zero downtime. Work on customer-facing features including registration, authentication, KYC, billing, and analytics.

What you will do

• Take ownership of Go-based backend services and lead migration to Python
• Analyze, document, and improve service architectures and business logic
• Design and implement new Python services maintaining or improving performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize migration impact
• Implement comprehensive testing strategies for legacy and new systems
• Create detailed documentation and drive technical decisions

Requirements

• Strong backend development experience with microservices and distributed systems
• Proficiency in Go and Python (FastAPI, Django, Flask)
• Experience with RESTful APIs, databases (SQL/NoSQL), and message queues (RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• Excellent communication and ownership mindset
• Ability to work independently and proactively address technical debt
• English: b2 level or higher

Nice to have

• Familiarity with backend security best practices
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Experience with language migrations or large-scale refactoring
