Design Apprentice (Motion Design)

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands; must be able to work at the Amsterdam hirify.global office. In-office guidance is 2–3 days per week in 2026.

What you will do

• Join the European Design team and work alongside artists using varied animation techniques.
• Develop design knowledge, practical skills, and professional responsibility during a six-month apprenticeship.
• Explore illustration, animation, graphic design, and motion design processes.
• Create and present concepts, discuss feedback, and collaborate with creative teams.
• Build a portfolio through project work, breakdowns, and accompanying reels.

Requirements

• Strong design and drawing skills, with a good eye for composition and colour.
• Curiosity about motion design and openness to learning new creative processes.
• Attention to detail, conceptual thinking, and a developing visual style.
• Collaborative team-player mindset and confidence presenting ideas and discussing feedback.
• Knowledge of Adobe Suite, especially Photoshop and Illustrator, plus Procreate.
• Must be able to work in the Netherlands at the Amsterdam hirify.global office.

Nice to have

• Figma knowledge.
• Experience as a recent graduate, self-taught artist, or designer with some practical experience.
