Drupal Developer (Apache Solr)

Location: Fully remote within the United States; must reside in the U.S. and be authorized to work there

What you will do

• Redesign the website home page using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks.
• Enhance and optimize Drupal site search through Apache Solr configuration and integration.
• Manage Drupal content, including text, images, multimedia, and inter-departmental resource links.
• Maintain WCAG accessibility, content accuracy, and organizational design standards.
• Troubleshoot website functionality, server configuration, and user-access issues with IT support and external vendors.
• Maintain website security through SSL/TLS, firewall rules, malware prevention, and regular module, plugin, theme, and software updates.

Requirements

• 5 or more years of experience in web development, front-end engineering, and CMS administration.
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks.
• Front-end development experience with Drupal and cloud web hosting environments.
• Hands-on experience configuring and optimizing Apache Solr for Drupal search.
• Knowledge of SSL/TLS, firewall rules, malware prevention, and WCAG compliance.
• Must reside in the United States and be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting public-sector, local-government, or county-agency websites.
• Experience managing inter-agency links and multi-departmental content structures.
