Shopify Developer / E-commerce Developer (Middle+/Senior) (Shopify)

Location: Remote from Belarus; regular overlap with a distributed US and Eastern European team is required

Salary: from 3,000 BYR per month before taxes

Company

Established US e-commerce business in the Home & Décor category with significant Amazon sales, thousands of SKUs, existing fulfillment infrastructure, product and customer data, and an internal team distributed across multiple time zones.

What you will do

• Define the technical architecture and build a Shopify storefront from an established design system.
• Develop and customize Shopify themes, sections, templates, product pages, collections, and landing pages using Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Structure a large catalog with products, variants, collections, metafields, metaobjects, filters, and navigation.
• Integrate Shopify apps, APIs, webhooks, Amazon MCF, fulfillment, inventory, analytics, tracking, and marketing systems.
• Implement technical SEO, responsive mobile-first experiences, Core Web Vitals improvements, and cross-browser QA.
• Continue developing features, improving conversion and UX, maintaining integrations, automating repetitive processes, and troubleshooting issues after launch.

Requirements

• Strong commercial Shopify development experience and excellent knowledge of Shopify Liquid.
• Strong HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and Git skills, with experience building or heavily customizing Shopify themes.
• Experience with Shopify product, variant, collection, metafield, and metaobject architecture.
• Experience integrating Shopify apps, external services, APIs, webhooks, and large product catalogs.
• Understanding of responsive development, Core Web Vitals, storefront performance, and clean maintainable code.
• Ability to work independently, investigate problems, recommend technical solutions, and communicate with business owners, designers, marketing, SEO, and operations.

Nice to have

• Experience with large Shopify catalogs, thousands of SKUs, Amazon MCF or FBA, ERP, WMS, inventory, or PIM integrations.
• Experience with Shopify Markets, advanced search and filtering, Shopify Functions, Shopify Plus, or headless Shopify.
• Experience with GA4, GTM, Meta Pixel, technical SEO, CRO, A/B testing, React, TypeScript, or Node.js.
