What you will do
- Investigate trust-aware distributed data fusion for state estimates and tracks exchanged between multiple platforms.
- Study methods for dynamically estimating the trustworthiness of information sources.
- Develop and implement trust models and distributed fusion algorithms.
- Evaluate the methods through simulations in representative multi-platform scenarios.
- Assess estimation accuracy, resilience to unreliable or manipulated information, recovery, computational and communication requirements, and explainability.
Requirements
- Be in the final stage of a master's program in Applied Physics and Electrical Engineering or an equivalent field.
- Be ready to begin a 30 HP master's thesis project.
- Have an interest in data fusion, target tracking, classification, machine learning, or cyber defense.
- Be prepared to work with theoretical analysis, modeling, coding, and simulation.
- Pass security vetting; additional citizenship obligations may apply for positions requiring security clearance.
