Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Microsoft Azure)

Location: Remote-first, United States based; preference for candidates in the Eastern or Central time zone. Periodic evening and weekend work is required for migration cutovers and maintenance windows.

What you will do

• Assess client environments and design Microsoft cloud infrastructure solutions aligned with business and technical objectives.
• Lead tenant-to-tenant, on-premises-to-cloud, hybrid, and third-party Microsoft 365 and Azure migrations, including planning, cutover, and validation.
• Configure and remediate Microsoft Entra ID, authentication, Microsoft Intune, Windows endpoint management, Microsoft Purview, and the Microsoft Defender suite.
• Design and implement Azure infrastructure, including networking, compute, storage, backup, disaster recovery, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Windows 365.
• Manage escalated identity, data protection, and device management issues across concurrent client engagements.
• Produce design documents, migration plans, runbooks, and as-built documentation, and deliver administrator training and knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Five or more years delivering Microsoft cloud infrastructure in consulting, managed services, or enterprise engineering environments.
• Ownership of at least three end-to-end Microsoft 365 or Azure migration projects, including planning, execution, and cutover.
• Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 workloads, Microsoft Intune, and Windows endpoint management.
• Working knowledge of Azure IaaS, including virtual machine sizing, storage, networking, and backup.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender, PowerShell, and Microsoft Graph.
• Ability to manage multiple client engagements and independently lead client-facing technical discussions.

Nice to have

• Azure Virtual Desktop or Windows 365 deployment experience.
• Hypervisor migration experience, including VMware to Hyper-V or Azure.
• Experience with AvePoint Fly, Quest, BitTitan, or ShareGate.
• macOS, iOS, and Android management experience.
• Experience with regulated or public-sector environments, Microsoft Sentinel, Copilot, Power Platform, or AI governance.
