Software Release Engineer (Release Manager) (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in Makati City, Philippines. The role follows a mid-shift schedule from 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM, with weekend and on-call support during release go-live activities.

What you will do

• Plan and roll out hirify.global products across controlled test, integration, and production environments.
• Own end-to-end release delivery into live environments for a defined set of clients.
• Validate release scope with project and delivery managers and complete technical go-live validation.
• Create implementation plans, coordinate release meetings, and manage production cutovers.
• Handle software packaging, code merges, and log analysis for hirify.global core and front platforms.
• Collaborate with developers, project managers, test managers, client managers, and other specialists while documenting and educating users on release, configuration, DevOps, and deployment practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Overall 7 years of experience, including 3–5 years in release management and/or configuration management; banking or financial services experience is preferred.
• Experience with Unix, Oracle, SQL, Jenkins, Artifactory, Nexus, Gerrit, Bitbucket, or comparable source code management tools.
• Ability to analyze technical problems and automate recurring administrative activities.
• Experience with conflict resolution, stakeholder management, and multicultural matrix teams.
• Good written and spoken English, openness to shifts, weekend work, on-call availability, and unscheduled hot-fix support are required.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of hirify.global Front Platform and mobile application releases.
• Experience creating hirify.global ICE release streams and managing cutovers.
• Shell scripting, OpenShift, Kubernetes, or container platform experience.
• Agile, Oracle Cloud, or ITIL certification.
• Experience writing technical documentation in tools such as Confluence.
