Lease Accountant (2653)

Location: Suitable UK Office with the ability to work from home under hybrid arrangements

Salary: £36,826, with a discretionary range up to £43,083 depending on experience

What you will do

• Lead the finance workstream during the initial implementation of the FRS 102 conversion programme.
• Support the delivery of WorkSavi and its integration with PeopleSoft.
• Own the day-to-day operation of lease accounting across all asset classes in a portfolio spanning the UK and 17 countries.
• Interpret technical accounting matters and advise country, regional, and senior head office managers on statutory compliance and financial risk.
• Influence teams to adopt new procedures, maintain accounting standards, and identify process improvements.
• Work with the Deputy CFO and FRAP team on improvements within the agreed programme scope.

Requirements

• Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent certification.
• Advanced specialist and technical knowledge of financial reporting requirements, including lease accounting standards.
• Strong understanding of risks and controls in complex, multi-country, and multi-currency environments.
• Experience leading finance process improvement and system implementations, including change management.
• Experience interpreting technical accounting matters and advising senior managers and non-finance stakeholders on statutory compliance and financial risk.
• Strong project management, communication, prioritisation, attention to detail, and autonomous working skills.
