TL;DR
Executive Strategist, UK Public Sector (Cybersecurity): Advising UK government cybersecurity leaders, shaping strategic partnerships, and delivering threat briefings and thought leadership with an accent on public-sector security strategy, government procurement, and national cyber policy. Focus on translating UK government requirements into product priorities, guiding major security transformation initiatives, and engaging senior stakeholders across government, industry, and CrowdStrike.
Location: United Kingdom-based; remote role with hybrid working available. London preferred. Regular travel within the UK of approximately 30–40% is required.

What you will do
- Advise UK public sector CISOs and security leaders on strategic planning, threat landscapes, cybersecurity modernization, and proactive defense initiatives.
- Build relationships with government departments and decision-makers, conduct executive briefings, and facilitate peer-to-peer security forums.
- Represent CrowdStrike at CyberUK, government cyber forums, defence and security conferences, parliamentary groups, and public-private partnerships.
- Produce thought leadership content, government consultation responses, threat briefings, and advisory materials focused on UK public sector cybersecurity.
- Coach sales teams, sales engineers, and partners on government procurement, security assurance, stakeholder mapping, and engagement strategies.
- Translate UK government requirements such as data sovereignty, supply chain security, and certification needs into product roadmap priorities.
Requirements
- UK citizenship and United Kingdom-based availability are required; eligibility for security clearance may be required.
- Extensive cybersecurity experience, including senior leadership roles in UK public sector organizations such as central government, NHS, defence, intelligence, policing, or equivalent.
- Deep knowledge of UK government cybersecurity requirements, NCSC guidance, Government Security Classifications, protective monitoring, security assurance, procurement frameworks, and cyber policy.
- Broad information security expertise across strategy, governance, risk management, architecture, operations, endpoint security, XDR/EDR, cloud security, IAM, SIEM, incident response, and threat intelligence.
- Experience with Zero Trust architecture, cloud migration security, legacy estate modernization, security operating models, and the use of AI to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, thought leadership, and stakeholder-influence skills, including communication with technical practitioners and ministerial-level audiences.
Nice to have
- Former CISO or Deputy CISO experience in a major UK government department, NHS organization, MOD, intelligence community, or national policing organization.
- NCSC engagement, CyberUK speaking, NCSC working group participation, or NCSC certification experience.
- CISSP, CISM, or an equivalent professional certification.
- Experience responding to major government cyber incidents or nation-state attacks.
- Published thought leadership and established relationships with key UK government stakeholders.
