Sr. Engineer (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Build, develop, and maintain scalable data infrastructure, operational systems, platforms, and tools for the OverWatch team.
• Improve analyst workflows for threat analysis and hunting across trillions of events.
• Build new components and extend existing distributed, cloud-based systems.
• Bring research projects into production and integrate them with OWL systems.
• Operate deployed systems in a DevOps environment, including participation in an on-call rota.
• Collaborate with engineering colleagues, contribute to open source, and take ownership of deliverables.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Go or another language for web backends and data pipelines, or with compiled languages such as Rust or C++.
• Experience building web services, data-processing pipelines, and working with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Linux experience in large-scale, business-critical environments.
• Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, cloud environments such as AWS, messaging systems, testing, code reviews, and resilient architecture.
• Proven experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience with Go, AWS, Cassandra, Kafka, or Elasticsearch.
• Leadership or contributions to open-source libraries and projects.
• Previous experience in cybersecurity or intelligence.
