Senior Tax Finance Accountant

Location: United States; remote work is supported, with hybrid office work encouraged for new hires within a reasonably short commute of a hirify.global office.

What you will do

• Prepare and review U.S. federal, state, international, sales, and use tax filings for corporations, LLCs, and partnerships.
• Prepare U.S. GAAP income tax provisions for domestic corporations and foreign subsidiaries, including deferred tax, tax payable or receivable, total tax expense, and effective tax rate analysis.
• Maintain tax calendars, documentation, supporting workpapers, account reconciliations, and tax-related journal entries.
• Gather financial data for tax reporting and coordinate with accounting and finance teams.
• Respond to requests from tax authorities, the IRS, state authorities, and external auditors.
• Research tax issues, monitor tax law updates, identify tax risks, and support process improvements and special projects.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of related work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Strong understanding of corporate tax concepts and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines with attention to detail.
• Analytical thinking, time management, collaboration, professional communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Nice to have

• CPA certification.
• Experience in a multinational or publicly traded company.
• Familiarity with Workday.
