What you will do
- Build and maintain Python tooling for onboarding new data sources and automating data workflows.
- Validate and reconcile datasets, investigate anomalies, and prepare data for quantitative research models.
- Monitor trading-critical Python pipelines and scheduled start- and end-of-day jobs, triaging and resolving incidents within SLA.
- Trace data discrepancies to their upstream causes and coordinate fixes with researchers, developers, traders, and partner data teams.
- Review configuration and code changes and coordinate safe production releases through GitLab and Octopus Deploy.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or production support, or a degree in a technical or data discipline.
- Demonstrated experience with Python or a comparable programming language.
- Experience with at least one SQL variant, such as PostgreSQL, MSSQL, or MySQL.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and incident-resolution skills with attention to detail.
- Willingness to work alternating weekday early and late shifts and participate in an on-call rotation.
- Experience with change-management and incident-management practices, technical documentation, and support cases; comfortable working in Windows and Linux.
