Desktop Software Engineer (Electron)

What you will do

• Build and maintain cross-platform desktop applications with Electron.
• Design responsive, scalable interfaces for real-time collaboration.
• Implement file system access, native notifications, auto-updates, and deep linking.
• Integrate AI-powered chat, agent, and assistance features through backend APIs.
• Optimize startup time, memory usage, runtime performance, and Electron overhead.
• Manage local state and message history while ensuring smooth real-time updates and stability on macOS and Windows.

Requirements

• Proven software engineering experience with production Electron applications.
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills.
• Experience with React or similar UI frameworks and desktop application lifecycles.
• Experience with IPC communication and local storage such as SQLite, IndexedDB, or filesystems.
• Experience with WebSockets or other real-time transport mechanisms.
• Strong debugging and performance profiling skills, with familiarity with native macOS or Windows behavior.
