Senior Principal Scientist (Cell Therapy)

Salary: $173,100–$321,500 per year, plus potential discretionary annual bonus

What you will do

• Define and drive integrated bioanalytical strategies supporting the cell therapy portfolio.
• Identify and prioritize scientific questions related to cellular expansion, persistence, trafficking, biodistribution, phenotypic evolution, and immunogenicity.
• Partner with Bioanalytical Sciences, Research, Translational Medicine, Clinical Development, CMC, Regulatory, Computational Sciences, and platform organizations.
• Harmonize assays, data strategies, and scientific approaches across programs and development stages.
• Integrate bioanalytical, translational, clinical, computational, and manufacturing data to support molecule progression and portfolio decisions.
• Represent Bioanalytical Sciences on governance teams and scientific committees, mentor scientists, and guide innovative bioanalytical approaches.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Bioanalytical Sciences, or a related life sciences discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience in drug discovery or development with extensive biopharmaceutical industry experience.
• Direct experience supporting cell therapy products, including CAR-T, TCR-T, TILs, iPSC-derived products, or gene-edited cellular therapies.
• Expertise in integrated bioanalytical strategies and methodologies including flow cytometry, qPCR/ddPCR, ligand-binding assays, functional bioassays, biomarker assays, and emerging multiomic approaches.
• Experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives, influencing scientific strategy, and aligning stakeholders without direct line authority.
• Recognized scientific leadership through publications, presentations, patents, regulatory contributions, or comparable achievements.

Nice to have

• Experience applying advanced computational or AI-enabled approaches to bioanalytical data integration and interpretation.
• Experience developing harmonized assay and data strategies across multiple programs or related therapeutic platforms.
