What you will do

  • Design and deploy real-time object detection and image classification systems for identifying micro-defects on fast-moving production lines.
  • Integrate and calibrate high-speed industrial cameras, specialized lighting, optical systems, frame grabbers, and industrial PCs.
  • Build low-latency communication pipelines between computer vision systems and PLCs to trigger sorting and rejection mechanisms.
  • Optimize deep learning models for edge deployment and strict production cycle-time requirements using hardware acceleration.
  • Develop automated data collection, dataset versioning, synthetic data, and image-labeling pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing-floor issues involving camera triggering, lighting fluctuations, system performance, and model drift.

Requirements

  • C++ and Python for optimized real-time applications, model prototyping, training, testing, and data processing.
  • Practical experience with computer vision, OpenCV, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and fast-inference architectures such as YOLO.
  • Hands-on experience with GigE Vision, CoaXPress, Camera Link, industrial optics, and frame grabbers.
  • Experience with OPC UA, Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, or PROFINET communication between Windows/Linux edge computers and PLCs.
  • Experience deploying models on NVIDIA Jetson or x86 industrial PCs with TensorRT or OpenVINO.
  • Working knowledge of IEC 61131-3 Structured Text or Ladder Logic and experience with concurrent processing, memory management, and continuous 24/7 systems.
