Senior Mobile App Engineer (React Native)

Location: Remote for candidates based anywhere in the US Eastern time zone, with office hubs in Boston and New York.

Salary: $170,000–$190,000 per year, plus equity, PTO, and other benefits.

What you will do

• Develop React Native mobile applications and native iOS and Android BLE device SDKs.
• Design and implement UX workflows for clinical trial participants and at-home diagnostic patients.
• Own app user experience, performance, reliability, and observability.
• Partner with Devices, Platform, and Product Design teams to build integrated mobile capabilities.
• Help shape the mobile platform roadmap and technical direction.
• Build features for EEG signal-quality validation, BLE reliability, patient onboarding, and clinical compliance tracking.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in mobile development using native iOS, Android, and/or React Native.
• Experience with BLE, sensor integration, or health data streams.
• Product mindset with strong attention to UX, edge cases, and performance.
• Familiarity with TypeScript, React Native, Swift, Kotlin, Expo, and GitHub.
• Strong communication skills and comfort working in a collaborative asynchronous environment.
• Must be based in the US Eastern time zone.

Nice to have

• Experience with medical devices, EEG, wearables, or regulated environments.
• Experience integrating BLE peripherals into iOS or Android applications.
• Extensive native iOS or Android development alongside React Native.
• Contributions to open-source mobile or BLE projects.
