Senior Software Engineer (Go)

Location: Remote from England or the United States

Salary: €94,040–€155,650 + equity in the EU; $160,900–$260,700 + equity in the United States. Compensation varies by location, level, skills, and experience.

What you will do

• Design, build, and operate Go services and APIs for container builds and secure CI.
• Develop isolation, identity, policy, provenance, attestation, and signing capabilities for trusted build and test jobs.
• Work with OCI, BuildKit, cloud infrastructure, and isolated execution to deliver secure and reproducible workflows.
• Own features from technical design through rollout, observability, incident response, and maintenance.
• Improve the reliability and operational efficiency of hirify.global Build Cloud and Auto Builds.
• Partner with Product, Security, Developer Experience, Registry, and platform teams on customer workflows.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience and technical leadership on production systems at scale.
• Strong backend experience building and operating distributed systems in production.
• Production experience with Go, including writing, testing, reviewing, and debugging maintainable services.
• Experience with containers and build or CI systems such as OCI, BuildKit, Buildx, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with cloud-native infrastructure, a major cloud platform, observability, reliability, incident response, and on-call ownership.
• Ability to work remotely from England or the United States; visa sponsorship is considered case by case.

Nice to have

• Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with SLSA, in-toto, SBOM, VEX, Sigstore, cosign, provenance, or artifact signing.
• Experience with sandboxing, microVMs, untrusted workload execution, or multi-tenant infrastructure.
• Experience building hosted CI runners, remote builders, or developer-platform infrastructure.
• Experience with agentic development workflows or legacy production systems.
