Senior Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Company

Alice & Bob is developing a universal, fault-tolerant quantum computer based on superconducting Schrödinger cat qubits.

What you will do

• Secure corporate identity systems, including SSO, SCIM, security observability, audit logging, EDR/XDR, SIEM, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Integrate application security into the development lifecycle through SAST, DAST, secret detection, IaC scanning, SCA, SBOM, and threat modeling.
• Secure infrastructure defined with Terraform and harden Kubernetes and container environments.
• Protect quantum R&D lab environments, including instrumentation, control systems, embedded and firmware components, and OT/ICS equipment.
• Drive security initiatives and best practices, partner with engineering, IT, hardware, and physics teams, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a closely related engineering role.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, container and Kubernetes security, vulnerability management, incident response, and threat modeling.
• Strong knowledge of identity technologies such as SSO, SAML, OIDC, and SCIM.
• Experience with EDR/XDR, SIEM, audit logging, application security tooling, and CI/CD security integration.
• Scripting and automation skills with Python, Bash, or similar technologies.
• Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; strong ownership, communication, autonomy, and mentoring skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2, or NIST frameworks.
• Exposure to embedded, firmware, or OT/ICS security in a laboratory or industrial setting.
• Experience defining or maturing a DevSecOps program.
