Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Aix-en-Provence, France, or remote from France; hybrid work is available with three mandatory on-site days per week for applicable positions.

What you will do

• Strengthen security across products, data, infrastructure, cloud, and networks through secure coding, code reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability remediation.
• Build automated security guardrails in CI/CD pipelines, including SAST, SCA, and secrets scanning.
• Design secure architectures for applications, APIs, data flows, and integrations with engineering teams.
• Secure virtual machines, containerized workloads, and cloud-native services across hybrid environments.
• Drive risk identification through continuous scanning, risk assessments, and architecture reviews.
• Support incident readiness, investigate security events, participate in on-call rotations, and lead security improvement projects.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in software engineering, security engineering, DevSecOps, or equivalent technical security roles.
• Strong development experience with Python, Node.js, Java, Go, PHP, or similar technologies.
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, or comparable CI/CD systems.
• Solid understanding of AWS, GCP, or Azure security, plus experience securing virtualized and containerized systems.
• Knowledge of secure coding, OWASP Top 10, application security, SAST, SCA, container and IaC scanning, runtime security, IAM, and secrets management.
• Fluent French and English are required.

• Knowledge of GDPR, PCI-DSS, or other compliance requirements.
