Game Economist (Middle) (Mobile Games)

Location: Ha Noi, Vietnam; hybrid schedule with remote work on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

What you will do

• Design game economic systems that encourage engagement and improve the player experience.
• Manage virtual goods, in-game currency, pricing, and the balance between free and paid content.
• Build and analyze simulations and predictive models to forecast the effects of content and economy changes.
• Design and optimize LiveOps events, offers, and in-game features through test-and-learn processes.
• Model changes in player behavior resulting from economy and live-game design modifications.
• Collaborate with product, analytics, data science, and development teams to align economic design with studio goals.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in economics, statistics, or data-related roles.
• Strong English communication skills required.
• Strong logical and analytical skills, with a background in science, mathematics, engineering, software engineering, or economics.
• Expert-level Excel skills and a strong interest in numbers, formulas, and data analysis.
• Ability to combine data insights with product intuition and deliver optimization solutions.
• Detail-oriented, methodical, and able to prioritize efficiently.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Knowledge of Tableau or other visual analytics tools.
• Experience with mobile games or applications.
