What you will do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable batch and streaming data processing pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
- Develop and optimize pipelines using Dataflow and related GCP services for enterprise analytics.
- Own data engineering components that improve data quality, reliability, and platform performance.
- Work with SQL-based data models and integrations across BigQuery, Cloud SQL, and other data sources.
- Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver production-ready solutions.
- Contribute to proof-of-concept initiatives, platform optimization, data architecture modernization, and CI/CD automation.
Requirements
- 3+ years of commercial experience as a Python Software Engineer focused on data engineering.
- 2+ years of practical experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Dataflow, BigQuery, Composer, and Cloud SQL.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with databases, data integrations, ETL or ELT pipelines, and connectivity patterns.
- Knowledge of schema migration tools such as Liquibase or Flyway and CI/CD tools, preferably GitLab CI.
- Readiness to learn Java for Java-related tasks comprising approximately 10% of the role.
- Upper-intermediate or higher English level and the ability to collaborate effectively in international teams.
