Data/Reporting Team Lead

Location: 100% remote in Poland; working hours may occasionally need to extend beyond regular CEST hours for urgent tasks or meetings.

Salary: $107,981–$122,032 annually plus stock options.

What you will do

• Lead a small, senior data and reporting team while remaining hands-on with production data pipelines.
• Own the accuracy and reliability of customer-facing imports, processing pipelines, reports, dashboards, and exports.
• Build the data platform using Snowflake CDC pipelines, DBT transformations, and silver/gold data layers served through clean APIs.
• Develop reconciliation, drift-detection, and point-in-time state reconstruction tooling to maintain data correctness.
• Optimize compute usage, pipeline sizing, query performance, and operating costs.
• Set the technical bar through planning, code reviews, mentoring, and collaboration with backend, analytics, and customer-facing teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS, EE, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of professional software or data engineering experience, including ownership of production data systems.
• Strong Python skills and advanced SQL, including query-plan analysis and optimization of large tables.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or an equivalent cloud data warehouse, DBT or similar transformation frameworks, and CDC or streaming pipelines.
• Experience maintaining production data correctness through reconciliation, validation, and drift investigation, with sufficient range across data, infrastructure, and backend engineering.
• Fluent Polish and advanced written and spoken English are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with CI/CD tools, Docker, and cloud deployments.
• Compute and cost optimization, warehouse performance tuning, or BI and embedded analytics experience such as Sigma.
