Information Security Analyst Intern (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Support the operation of a comprehensive information security program and measure compliance with security policies, processes, and standards.
• Develop strategies and plans with information security leadership to enforce security requirements and address identified risks.
• Construct, implement, and monitor technical security controls with IT infrastructure and application teams.
• Prepare reports on residual risk, vulnerabilities, security exposures, misuse of information assets, and policy noncompliance.
• Monitor security reports and logs for unusual events, research threats and alerts, and recommend remedial actions.
• Assist with security operations documentation and the resolution of reported security incidents.

Requirements

• Interest in documenting security architecture, plans, policies, processes, procedures, and standards.
• Knowledge of project management fundamentals and experience creating and managing project plans.
• Technical knowledge of mainstream operating systems, including Windows and Unix.
• Familiarity with network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, network protocols, and related concepts.
• Interest in learning security technologies such as network security appliances, identity and access management systems, anti-malware solutions, automated policy compliance tools, and desktop security tools.
