Senior Fullstack Engineer (GraphQL/Node.js)

hirify.global is a Berlin-based startup building a GraphQL-native, API-first headless CMS for complex digital experiences and AI-enabled systems.

What you will do

• Evolve the core GraphQL-native CMS, improving performance, reliability, and developer experience.
• Build and maintain CMS extensions and integrations.
• Develop AI-powered capabilities as part of the product roadmap.
• Translate customer and business needs into technical solutions with Product, Design, and customer-facing stakeholders.
• Use monitoring and observability data to identify and resolve issues proactively.
• Contribute to architecture, operational improvements, and team knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Typically 6+ years of experience building and owning production systems with strong full-stack JavaScript/TypeScript skills and deep backend expertise.
• Experience with Node, React-based interfaces, and well-tested GraphQL APIs.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL, relational database schema design, and query optimization.
• Active experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Cursor, or Codex.
• Familiarity with AWS or GCP, monitoring and observability tools, and on-call or incident-response work.
• Strong product sense and the ability to work effectively with ambiguity and evolving requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience with Golang.
• Knowledge of Pulumi or Terraform.
• Customer-facing experience.
• Familiarity with headless CMS platforms or content infrastructure.
