Social Media Intern

hirify.global provides weather forecasts, warnings, digital weather products, broadcast content, and business services to audiences and organizations worldwide.

What you will do

• Source user-generated content and obtain usage permission from content owners.
• Pitch daily weather-related ideas for social media posts and campaigns.
• Coordinate social media sources, feeds, and internal contributors.
• Monitor social networks, respond to users, and coordinate with internal departments on questions and issues.
• Analyze hirify.global and competitor data using social media analytics tools.
• Research platform changes and create reports on weather-related trends and cultural conversations.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a four-year bachelor's degree in Journalism, Marketing, or a related writing-focused field.
• Knowledge and experience using Facebook, Twitter, and other social media platforms.
• Basic image editing knowledge.
• Ability to understand and explain basic scientific and meteorological concepts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated, team-oriented, able to work under pressure, and willing to work evenings and weekends.
