Senior QA Analyst (Unreal Engine 5)

Location: Cambridge, United Kingdom; hybrid work with onsite attendance required as needed. Candidates must be based within a comfortable commuting distance or be willing to relocate.

What you will do

• Own the testing strategy for complex systems in RuneScape: Dragonwilds.
• Define and evolve test strategies using Unreal Engine 5, automation, telemetry, and profiling tools.
• Use player telemetry, defect trends, and exploit analysis to identify risks before they affect players.
• Mentor QA team members and improve multiplayer and live-service testing practices.
• Collaborate with development, design, Live Operations, Localisation, and Submission teams on quality ownership and risk communication.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing QA for multiplayer or live-service products.
• Hands-on experience with networking, replication, persistence, matchmaking, and server performance testing.
• Strong understanding of open-world testing challenges, including streaming, AI interactions, server stability, desynchronisation, and save/load systems.
• Experience defining risk-based test strategies and conducting compatibility, certification, and performance testing.
• Knowledge of QA tools such as JIRA, Xray, or TestRail, plus specialist debugging, profiling, or network analysis tools.
• Permanent right to work in the UK without employer visa sponsorship is required.
