Deployed Engineer (AI): Building and deploying production AI agents with customer engineering teams, from technical discovery and proof-of-concept design through rollout and operation, with an accent on applied AI, architecture, and customer-facing technical leadership. Focus on solving production deployment challenges, evaluating LLM systems, designing reliable agent workflows, and translating field feedback into reusable code and product improvements.

Annual OTE: $200,000–$250,000 USD

What you will do
- Partner with account executives to scope evaluations, conduct technical discovery, and design proof-of-concepts based on customer workloads.
- Lead architecture reviews, security and infrastructure discussions, and competitive technical evaluations.
- Co-architect and co-build production AI agents with customer engineering teams from prototype through rollout.
- Help customers deploy and operate conversational agents, research agents, and multi-step workflows.
- Run technical demos, trainings, and workshops for developer audiences, and advise customers after the sale.
- Share field feedback with product teams and create reusable proof-of-concept assets, cookbooks, example code, and upstream contributions.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, customer engineering, software engineering, founding engineering, or product engineering.
- Experience owning the technical side of a sales cycle, including discovery, proof-of-concepts, architecture reviews, and competitive evaluations.
- Ability to explain technical tradeoffs clearly, build trust with developer audiences, and take responsibility for customer outcomes.
- Experience deploying AI agents in production, particularly with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks.
- Genuine interest in operating AI agents in production rather than building demos only.
Nice to have
- Experience carrying a technical number or working alongside a sales team against pipeline.
- Experience with LLM evaluation, observability, or guardrails.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, containers, and basic Kubernetes concepts.
