Software Engineer II, Fullstack (International)

Location: Remote UK

Salary: £101,000–£149,000 per year

What you will do

• Break larger engineering projects into tasks, deliver work in phases, and collaborate with teammates to ensure timely delivery.
• Partner with product management, design, and analytics during ideation and product development, communicating technical constraints, risks, and trade-offs.
• Build, ship, and operate consumer-facing web applications and APIs for Canada, the UK, and future international markets.
• Create and monitor operational metrics, escalate issues, and support on-call and service availability efforts.
• Participate in engineering interviews and team growth and development activities.

Requirements

• 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience shipping web applications with declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.
• Experience designing, developing, and launching APIs at scale using Python or Kotlin.
• Ability to turn business scenarios into solutions spanning multiple software components and write clear, tested, extensible code.
• Experience navigating large codebases, debugging code, and conducting code reviews.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with an international engineering team.
