Engineer Backend (Senior ICT Engineer) T Cloud Public (m/f/d)

Location: Košice, Slovakia; remote working is available only within Slovakia. The role requires working in the European Union to meet customer data security and privacy requirements.

Salary: negotiable base salary from €1,850 gross, plus a variable component and other financial benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and enhance the T Cloud Public backend platform.
• Solve complex operational problems in a hyper-scale public cloud environment.
• Work with hardware, physical networks, software-defined networks, routing, and firewalls.
• Develop and operate monitoring and quality assurance solutions.
• Automate infrastructure and operational processes using common automation frameworks.
• Collaborate with specialists and technology partners in an agile, open-source cloud ecosystem.

Requirements

• Technical, engineering, or scientific degree, or comparable professional training.
• At least 6 years of professional IT experience focused on modern cloud technologies.
• Very good knowledge of software-defined networks, routing, firewalls, and physical networks.
• Extensive infrastructure automation experience and strong Linux and network-services knowledge.
• Customer focus, ability to assess technical solutions, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English and availability to work within the European Union are required.

Nice to have

• OpenStack experience.
• Programming experience in open-source projects.
• Knowledge of agile development processes.
