What you will do
- Shape and lead scalable test automation practices aligned with the overall testing strategy.
- Design, develop, and maintain Selenium WebDriver scripts and test plans for early defect detection and broad coverage.
- Optimize automation frameworks and manage Selenium Grid and parallel test execution.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to improve feedback cycles.
- Collaborate with QA, development, product, and stakeholder teams to resolve defects and align testing with business goals.
- Generate test metrics, analyze results, mentor QA engineers, participate in code reviews, and improve quality processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in automation test engineering.
- Expertise in Selenium WebDriver and a programming language such as Java.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
- Knowledge of QA methodologies, Agile/Scrum, and test management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or TestRail.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Ability to perform manual end-to-end testing, debug test failures, collaborate cross-functionally, and use AI tools responsibly to improve productivity and quality.
Nice to have
- Experience with performance and accessibility testing, including tools such as JMeter or Locust.
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, or Azure.
- Background in BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or CodeceptJS.
- Exposure to mobile test automation with Appium.
- Understanding of testing strategies for scalable, distributed systems.
